Description

The exhibition book Power Plants by Berlin-based artist duo kennedy+swan revolutionizes our understanding of nature and man’s place in it. This book breaks with the arrogant anthropocentric worldview and asks the question: why should humans rule over the evolution of plants and animals? The works of Bianca Kennedy and Swan Collective, who have been collaborating on virtual reality, augmented reality works, drawings, installations and films since 2013, tell of an alternative world. In this world, nature finally regains its righteous dominance. The artists present a vision in which nature prevails over man and our idea of the hierarchy between man and the environment is redefined. Power Plants takes us on a journey through different media. From virtual reality and augmented reality works to drawings, installations, and films, kennedy+swan ‘s works offer a wide range of artistic expressions that show a future world where nature is once again at the center.
