Helena Melikov and Ani Menua have created a connection between the past and the present with their book “LOST AND FOUND – Past Images Retold”. The idea of the book, which comes from the blog lostandfound.photo, is to give new meaning to homeless images that are sold at flea markets and have lost their original context. These images no longer have a story, but an infinite number of possibilities.
The texts of the book allow the reader to dive into the everyday life and the world of the supposed motives and people. It is about a confrontation of past and present, where yesterday becomes now and now becomes yesterday. Poems and prose pieces explore themes of love, friendship, hope, and uncertainty.
