Description
Belles Mômes is the long-term project of French-Swiss photographer Clélia Odette. In analog black and white portraits and short personal statements, she focuses on women over 50 – undisguised, unretouched and with a look full of respect and closeness. The starting point for the project was a conversation about the fear of getting older and the loss of attractiveness. This resulted in a powerful examination of patriarchal ideals of beauty that push older women out of society’s field of vision.
