SHIFT BOOKS combines art, photography, and literature, creating spaces for contemporary artistic positions as well as social and cultural policy discourse. Its publications address current debates and broaden the exchange with diverse perspectives. In addition to the high quality of the content, design plays a central role, facilitating access to complex topics. Particular attention is paid to tactility and materiality, as well as a holistically sustainable production process.

Zusammenarbeit mit Museen & Institutionen

SHIFT BOOKS realisiert Ausstellungskataloge und institutionelle Publikationen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Museen und Partner*innen – sowohl in der gemeinsamen inhaltlichen Entwicklung als auch in der verlegerischen Umsetzung bestehender Konzepte. Eine projektbasierte Zusammenarbeit

Souvenir. Literaturen und Andenken aus Mittel- und Osteuropa entstand aus einer zweijährigen Zusammenarbeit von elf Literaturhäusern, initiiert vom Literaturhaus Stuttgart. Autor:innen verbanden literarische Texte mit persönlichen Andenken, fotografisch inszeniert von Ekaterina Zershchikova.

Die Publikation entstand im Verlag in Konzeption, Gestaltung sowie in Herstellung und Produktion und steht exemplarisch für projektbasierte Formen der Zusammenarbeit.
