IN LOVE FROM
One Picture. One Text. One Love.

It was such a warm and supportive evening atmosphere on Tuesday, July 9th at the Villa Oppenheim in Charlottenburg, Berlin. We were invited to participate in the Haus für Poesie’s 25th Poetry Festival Berlin (poesiefestival berlin) event, Poets Corner. Three of the 21 writers from IN LOVE FROM got to read their text from the book to a crowd of enthusiasts and romantics, as all the work shared throughout the evening was on the theme of love

After the readings and some live music concluded, we got to talk about the Lost & Found project with some of the audience members. The Lost & Found project was founded by Helena Melikov and works to bring new meanings to vernacular, amateur photography through creative written interpretations across a range of genres.

In the shade of the old brick Villa Oppenheim which acts as an archive and museum, the poets were asked to sign their pages, and to hear that a woman was so touched she almost cried moved us all. Poetry Festival Berlin is the largest of its kind in Europe, and getting to be a part of a community that asserts such importance on the significance of the written word was incredibly meaningful to us. We are very thankful for the invitation from Haus für Poesie, and hope we can put on more readings from our books in the future.
