ez fraktal (me, self-similar) is the photobook by artist Cihan Çakmak. Over several years, she created various series of self-portraits and photographic works, complemented by quotations from dreams she collected over a long period. Through the interplay of image and text, a visual and narrative language unfolds, exploring questions of self-determination, trauma, and longing. The publication offers a Kurdish-German perspective that has rarely been seen in the German art scene.
