Belles Mômes (Beautiful Kids) is the long-term project of French-Swiss photographer Clélia Odette. Through analog black-and-white portraits and anonymous text fragments, she focuses on women over 50 and questions patriarchal beauty ideals that push older bodies out of the public eye. Photographed in the protagonists' private spaces, the project creates intimate encounters in which age becomes tangible as lived experience, strength, and visibility. The book is a visual plea for self-empowerment and the recognition of diverse female bodies.
Her pictures show how beautiful it is when older women's bodies are brought into focus.
